Dr. Wolfelt will explore a variety of subtopics related to understanding and supporting survivors of sudden, unexpected deaths. Specific content areas include: introduction to complicated grief, special features of suicide grief, homicide grief, and enhancing understanding of trauma loss.
We will also have books by Dr. Wolfelt for sale at the seminar and Dr. Wolfelt will be available to sign any books purchased.

Dr. Alan Wolfelt is an internationally noted author, educator and grief counselor. He serves as Director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition in Colorado. Past recipient of the Association for Death Education and Counseling's Death Educator Award, Dr. Wolfelt is an educational consultant to hospices, hospitals, schools, universities, funeral homes and a variety of community agencies across North America.
Dr. Wolfelt has written numerous books on grief and is best known for his model of "companioning" versus treating the bereaved. Dr. Wolfelt is committed to helping people mourn well so they can live well and love well.
